TEK-Ocean’s client requested that their Subsea Tree Handling Cap be re-verified for use

Project
Objective

Determine if the SST Handling Caps comply with the relevant lifting codes and standards.
Confirm that their condition is fit for use.
Issue a certificate of compliance verifying they are fit for use.

Determine which lifting codes are applicable and best suited for the equipment’s application.
Carry out engineering verification using FEA and first principals checks.
Conduct proof load testing:
- Utilising TR16 profile on an ex-campaign subsea tool,
- Design a test jig allowing use of hydraulic jacks to apply the proof load.
Provide an engineering report including engineering verification, load testing procedure and certificate of load test.
